Description: The Band Department at WHS incorporates a Jazz Band, Marching Band, Concert Band, an Indoor Percussion Ensemble, and a Flag Team/Winterguard. All groups regularly perform/compete in LMEA and LMCGPC events. The Jazz Band performs at several venues around the Greater Baton Rouge area.

Description: As the official dance team of Woodlawn High School the Pantherettes style of dancing is very eclectic. Their performances often blur the lines from hip hop, southern style to K-Pop. They love doing stunts and wowing the crowds.
This year the Pantherettes showed their skills at UDA camp with a Superior rating qualifying them to compete in UDA National Dance Competition in Orlando, FL from February 3rd-5th, 2017.
Auditions for the team are usually held in March.
