FALL BLOOD DRIVE

Please post the announcement below to your Google Classrooms.  If you would like to give blood, please let Col. Keys know early and he will ensure that you are scheduled during the class period that you would like to give blood.  Thank you!

On Wednesday, 23 October 2024, we will conduct our Fall Blood Drive.  The Blood Drive is open to students, faculty, and staff. You must be at least 16 years of age to give blood with your parent’s consent.  Louisiana law allows you to give blood at age 17 without parental consent, but we ask that you discuss it with your parents and inform them of your decision to support the cause.
You can sign up for a time to give blood on Monday and Tuesday (21-22 Oct) during your lunch period.  The sign-up table will be right outside the entrance to the cafeteria.  We highly recommend that you hydrate the day before and have a good breakfast on the morning of 23 October to ensure that your body is prepared to give blood.  Let’s show our Woodlawn Pride and support this worthy life-saving cause.

*Update from Col. Keys-please post in your Google Classrooms, as well as a reminder:

Students, if you are 16 years old and plan on giving blood at our Fall Blood Drive next week, on 23 Oct, please stop by   room 809 and see COL Keys to get a parental consent form.  You may also get a consent form during sign-ups on 21-22 October. Thank you for your support.
