Students in Ms. Risher’s AP Human Geography classes created an exhibit for our Farmers Market Job Fair this week. Each group was assigned a specific form of agriculture. Their goal was to become an expert on their type farming and be able to sell their farming practice to prospective farmers in a job fair setting.
Students were given the task of creating a presentation that was fun and interesting in order to attract people to their type of agriculture. Students also were responsible for informing potential “customers” of the drawbacks of their particular type of agriculture.
Presentations were interesting, engaging, and very informative. The students especially enjoyed the dairy farmers sharing ice cream treats during their presentations!
Students were graded based on their presentation at their exhibit. Students also visited other exhibits and were expected to complete guided notes about each exhibit they visited.
